Yankees slugger to participate in Home Run Derby

PHILADELPHIA (607NewsNow) — A slugger for the Yankees will compete tonight in the Home Run Derby.

New York first baseman Ben Rice will swing for the fences. The event starts at 8 p.m. at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia.

So far this season, Rice has 29 home runs. He trails only Houston slugger Yordan Alvarez in the American League.

Tonight, Rice will compete against seven other players, including two-time National League MVP Bryce Harper.
