The Yankees are on the brink of elimination. On Tuesday, the pinstripes dropped Game 1 of their playoff series against Boston 3-1. New York had the bases loaded with no outs in the ninth inning but couldn’t score a run. Game 2 begins tonight at 6:08 p.m. at Yankee Stadium.

Mets Owner Steven Cohen is apologizing for his team’s unsuccessful season. New York missed the playoffs despite having the second-highest payroll in baseball. Cohen called the result “unacceptable.”

Jets Head Coach Aaron Glenn is reflecting on Monday’s defeat against the Dolphins. New York lost three fumbles in the matchup. During a press conference on Tuesday, Glenn said the team “cannot turn over the ball and expect to win” close games.

Four straight wins for the Cornell men’s soccer team. The Big Red blanked Binghamton 5-0 on Tuesday. Cornell senior Daniel Samways had three assists in the win.

No luck for the Ithaca College men’s soccer team. The Bombers lost to Hamilton 2-0 on Tuesday.

Both TC3 soccer teams visit Broome today. The men’s squad plays at 2 p.m. and the women’s team plays at 4 p.m.
