Wegmans recalls three products, including one for nut allergy hazard


ITHACA, NY (CortacaToday) – Wegman’s has issued a recall for three products.

Wegmans 16-oz. Ultra Pasteurized Half & Half

Officials say the raw milk used in production for Wegman’s Food You Feel Good About 16-oz. Ultra Pasteurized Half & Half may not have been properly tested for antibiotic residue. Affected products have a UPC Code of 7789048671 and a “Best By Date” of October 10, 2024. Product details are available here.

Wegmans FYFGA Pecan Nut Blend 16-oz.

According to Wegmans, Food You Feel Good About Brand Pecan Nut Blend failed to declare it could contain almonds on the label. Almonds are a tree nut allergen. Affected products have a UPC Code of 0-77890-31040-3 and a “Best By Date” of March 27, 2024. Product details are available here.

Perdue Frozen Chicken Products, Multiple Varieties

Sold at Wegmans, Perdue Breaded Chicken Breast Tenders (UPC Code 0-72745-80431-1) and Perdue SIMPLY SMART ORGANICS Gluten Free Breaded Chicken Breast Nuggets (UPC Code 0-72745-80656-8) could contain small pieces of metal wire embedded in the chicken. The only affected products have both a “Best By Date” of March 23, 2025, and plant code of P-33944. Product details are available here.
