CORTLANDVILLE, NY (607NewsNow) – A 54-year-old homeless man is facing multiple charges in Cortlandville.

On Oct. 13, authorities were patrolling the area of Route 281 when they observed the defendant, Terry Maricle.

According to the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office, Maricle, who was recently released from jail, was wanted for a felony probation violation. Additionally, he has two pending felony drug charges.

When deputies tried to arrest Maricle, he allegedly fled on foot and resisted before eventually being taken into custody.

Maricle is now facing additional charges of resisting arrest and obstruction of governmental administration, both misdemeanors. He refused to be arraigned via the central arraignment process, and the investigation is ongoing.
