Traffic stop leads to criminal charges for Waverly man

MONTOUR FALLS, NY (607NewsNow) – A Tioga County man awaits his day in Schuyler County Court.

On July 17, Steven Anderson, of Waverly, was arrested after a traffic stop in the Village of Montour Falls.

According to the Schuyler County Sheriff’s Office, the 47-year-old tried to conceal narcotics in the car. Anderson is charged with felony tampering with evidence, misdemeanor drug possession, and misdemeanor obstructing.

Anderson was held in jail without bail.

Another person in the car, 46-year-old Christina Sanger, of Waverly, was also charged with misdemeanor drug possession.
