Two arrested in Ithaca after Flock Alert flags stolen vehicle: On December 31, the Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office received an alert that a vehicle reported stolen in Broome County was spotted in Ithaca near Green and Cayuga Street. Deputies located the vehicle on Ithaca Road and initiated a traffic stop. Both the driver and passenger were arrested after Broome County authorities confirmed the vehicle was stolen. Fatal crash under investigation in Richford: Deputies were called Saturday, Jan. 3 around 1:30 p.m. to Route 79 in Richford for a two-vehicle crash. The driver of the first vehicle was taken to Wilson Hospital and later transferred to SUNY Upstate Medical Center.
