ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) – Don’t miss your opportunity to weigh in on mental health at the local and state levels.

The Tompkins County Whole Health Department (TCWH) is hosting the New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH) next week for a pair of community engagement forums.

“The sessions are open to all community members,” said TCWH Deputy Commissioner of Mental Health Harmony Ayers-Friedlander. “OMH especially wants to hear from people who receive or have received mental health services, as well as people who have wanted to get services but haven’t. If you are a peer support worker or other mental health provider, advocate, or anyone else who works with groups or people who may be interested, please share this information, and feel free to join the sessions too.”

The meetings are scheduled for October 9 and October 10 at the Tompkins County Public Library in Ithaca.

Registration is required.
