Tompkins County Office for the Aging seeks nominees for outstanding volunteer awards

ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) – The Tompkins County Office for the Aging (COFA) is seeking nominees for an annual award.

Each year, COFA recognizes an older adult (age 60 +) volunteer who has made a significant contribution to the community through civic engagement.

Nominations should be in the form of a letter and should include activities, achievements, and reasons the individual should receive the award. Nominators should include their own contact information, as well as the information of the nominee.

Send nominations to the Tompkins County Office for the Aging at 214 West State Street, Ithaca, NY 14850 by February 20, 2026. You can also submit them via email at cbullis@tompkins-co.org.

Awards will be presented at COFA’s annual luncheon in May and at Older New Yorker’s Day on May 26 at the Crown Plaza Hotel-Desmond in Albany.
