Tompkins County Assessment to open in Lansing on March 16

ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) — Tompkins County Assessment is preparing to move.

Monika Salvage, the county’s communications director, tells 607 News Now the Assessment office will relocate from its longtime home on E. Buffalo St. in Ithaca to 31 Dutchmill Rd. in Lansing.

The vacant building was purchased by the county in 2025 for $1.2 million. Salvage says the Assessment office is set to open in Lansing on March 16.

The vote grants landmark protections to the house on Dilling Avenue that was used for exterior shots of the TV sitcom that ran from 1969 to 1974.
