TROY, NY (607NewsNow) – The New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH) is recognizing the Tioga County Veterans’ Service Agency (TCVSA).

TCSVA was one of just four agencies statewide to receive recognition from OMH last week at the CARES-UP Conference.

The group was highlighted for its efforts to address veterans’ and active military suicide through prevention and awareness outreach, including the annual Field of the Forgotten Fallen in Owego and the Ruck for Them event in Waverly.

Of the agencies recognized, TCSVA was the only veterans-based organization.

If you or someone you know is struggling with mental health, call the National Suicide Prevention Hotline at 988 or the Tioga County Veterans’ Service Agency at (607) 687-8228.
