DRYDEN, NY (607NewsNow) — Tompkins Cortland Community College has signed a new transfer agreement.

The Dryden school is partnering with Hobart and William Smith Colleges to guarantee recent graduates acceptance and scholarships into bachelor’s degree programs at the campuses in Geneva.

“This agreement is significant for TC3 because for many of our students, guaranteed acceptance with full junior status into a highly regarded institution such as Hobart and William Smith, right here in the Finger Lakes, while also receiving a very generous scholarship, is a tremendous, life-changing opportunity,” TC3 President Amy Kremenek said. “I’m thrilled for our students, and grateful for the efforts of everyone at TC3 and Hobart and William Smith to forge this partnership to the benefit of our entire community.”

According to a news release from TC3, “the agreement covers all TC3 students, regardless of major. Students who complete a degree at TC3 with a GPA of 3.0 or higher will be guaranteed acceptance into HWS, and will also be guaranteed a scholarship of at least $30,500.”

“This agreement reflects our shared commitment to expanding opportunity and supporting student success,” said Hobart and William Smith President Mark D. Gearan. “We are proud to partner with Tompkins Cortland Community College to create a seamless pathway to HWS, where talented students can continue their academic journey, engage deeply in our community and achieve their career goals.”

The agreement was signed Thursday, Dec. 18 at the TC3 campus, marking the third transfer agreement signed in 2025. In November, TC3 signed a deal with Syracuse University and put pen to paper with the Cornell University College of Agriculture and Life Sciences in August.
