Syracuse man charged with arson, murder after house fire


SYRACUSE, NY (CortacaToday) — One man is facing charges after a fatal fire in Syracuse.

WSYR-TV reports a home on South Avenue was heavily damaged on Sunday night. 34-year-old Shaquoiya Allison died in the fire; she reportedly lived downstairs.

Authorities say 58-year-old Anthony Green, who lived upstairs, set the house on fire. He’s charged with arson and murder.

Green reportedly set the fire intending to hurt his girlfriend.
