Steuben County DA: Elmira pair face 17-count indictment for child abuse

ELMIRA, NY (607NewsNow) — An Elmira couple has been indicted in a case of child abuse. 

The Steuben County District Attorney has charged Justin Baker and Caitlin Taft with several counts of assaulting a child under the age of four. Among the 17-count indictment handed down by a grand jury is a charge of enterprise corruption for allegedly filming their abuse of the child. The alleged abuse happened between July and September of last year. They’re facing similar charges in Chemung County.

Baker and Taft are behind bars without bail.
