ITHACA, NY (CortacaToday) — On Saturday, October 5th at 7:00 p.m. in the Ithaca High School Kulp Auditorium, The Savage Club and Rotary Club of Ithaca are bringing back their Little Apple Fall Follies (LAFF) talent showcase after a break due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Rotary Club of Ithaca and The Savage Club of Ithaca are two of the longest standing service organizations in the community. The Rotary Club is over a century old and has around 150 members. Both clubs serve to help community organizations succeed and get what they need and use grant programs to do so.

LAFF is jointly organized by both clubs and has been a well-renowned event in the community since its inception in 2010. This year is the first year back since the pandemic, making it even more special than usual. In partnership with the Ithaca City School District’s Department of Performing Arts, the clubs will bring back an evening of fun with music, comedy, dance, and performances from people of all ages in the community. This year’s event will have three MCs, being Rachel Lampert, Stephen Nunley, and Joey Steinhagen.

Former Executive Director of the Downtown Ithaca Alliance Gary Ferguson who is now volunteering for the Rotary Club of Ithaca does not underestimate the importance of this event and the clubs organizing it.

“It helps to raise money for the organizations in the community that we all know and love. It has been missed in the years it’s been gone due to the pandemic, but it’s exciting to be able to bring it back and bring some more attention to local organizations because of it. The Rotary Club is an amazing organization, and this is just one of they great things they do here in Ithaca.”

Over the years, LAFF has raised over $100,000 in grants for different organizations here. Tickets are $12 and can be purchased at the door or online here. Visit the Rotary Club of Ithaca’s website, as well as The Savage Club of Ithaca’s website to learn more about each club and the event itself.
