OWEGO, NY (607NewsNow) – An Owego man is accused of child sexual exploitation.

On June 4, State Police, including the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and the NYSP Electronic Detection K9, executed a search warrant at the home of Dason Tinkham.

The investigation was spurred by a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. As a result, the 37-year-old Tinkham was arrested and charged with possessing a sexual performance by a child under 16, and first-degree obscenity, the most serious charge of its kind in New York.

Tinkham was sent to Tioga County Jail for arraignment.

Less than a week ago, another man in Tioga County was arrested for similar crimes.
