One arrested after fight breaks out in Ithaca, police say

ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) — A fight in Ithaca resulted in one arrest. 

Police say someone underage was identified as the provoking party in a fight around 2:40 p.m. Wednesday, July 8 in the 100 block of West State St. The alleged physical dispute involved at least two people, with several others nearby watching and yelling.

“Officers intervened while separating the parties involved. While officers worked to gain control of disturbance, an officer sustained minor injuries from a subject who was actively fighting,” IPD said.

The young suspect is charged with two misdemeanors, including resisting arrest.
