NY governor urges safe driving ahead of winter storm

ALBANY, NY (607NewsNow) — New York Governor Kathy Hochul is encouraging caution on the roads.

“Stay vigilant, drive slow if you need to travel and have a safe holiday weekend,” she said.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Warning. Forecasters predict snow will fall this afternoon through Saturday morning.

Cortland is expected to get 6-8 inches of snow. Ithaca is anticipated to receive 4-6 inches.
