Newark Valley Community Connection to host submarine talk

NEWARK VALLEY, NY (607NewsNow) — Tonight in Tioga County, you can learn about life beneath the ocean.

Newark Valley Community Connection will host a conversation on submarine service. The talk will feature Gary Cornett, who served in the U.S. Navy from 1966–1989.

The conversation will cover what it’s like to live underwater. It’ll also focus on missions from the Cold War.

The event starts at 5 p.m. Veterans are encouraged to attend.
