PARIS, FRANCE (CortacaToday) – Ithaca College alum Meghan Musnicki is one step closer to her third Olympic medal.

The U.S. Women’s 8 rowing team placed second in their Tuesday heat, propelling them to the next round of competition, the repechage, on Thursday morning. The top four of five teams in that repechage will advance to Saturday’s final.

Musnicki made history this week, becoming the oldest U.S. woman to row in an Olympics at age 41. The team also features Schuyler County’s Olivia Coffey. It’s the Watkins Glen High School graduate’s second consecutive Olympic games.
