Marathon man charged in alleged domestic incident


MARATHON, NY (CortacaToday) – A Cortland County man faces felonies after an alleged domestic incident.

Around 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, September 22, 2024, State Police responded to a home on Route 221 in Marathon for a report of an argument that turned physical. Dillin Wilcox, 32, is accused of choking the victim and threatening to harm them while displaying a knife. State Police say Wilcox refused to come outside for about an hour when they arrived, but he ultimately surrendered.

The victim, who was able to escape the house before troopers arrived, was evaluated on scene by EMTs.

Wilcox is charged with criminal possession of a weapon, menacing, and misdemeanor criminal obstruction of breathing.
