LOCKE, NY (607NewsNow) – A Cayuga County man awaits his day in court.

On August 19, deputies responded to the area of Pierce Road and Tucker Hill Road in the Town of Locke around 8:30 a.m. for a suspicious vehicle report.

When authorities arrived, they found that 32-year-old Alec Reagin and an unnamed woman slept inside overnight. Further investigation uncovered that the woman had a full stay-away order of protection against Reagin, which was issued earlier this year in Ithaca after a domestic violence arrest.

Reagin was taken into custody and charged with criminal contempt. He was sent to Cayuga County Jail on $10,000 cash bail.

Anyone with information relevant to the investigation is asked to contact the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office at (315) 253-1222 or leave a tip online.
