CORTLAND COUNTY, NY (607NewsNow) — With SNAP benefits delayed this month, many Cortland County families are struggling to fill their cupboards.

Joseph Rivers Painting is stepping up to help by hosting the “Paint Out Hunger” food drive, collecting non-perishable food and monetary donations to support the Cortland County Community Action Program (CAPCO).

Community members are encouraged to drop off donations at Joseph Rivers Painting, 5043 US Route 11, Homer, NY, throughout the month of November.

Accepted donations include canned soups, vegetables, peanut butter, pasta, cereal, baby food, and household staples. Contributions will go directly to CAPCO to help local families in need.

Donations will be accepted November 1–30. For more information, contact Joseph Rivers Painting at (607) 745-5789.
