Ithaca High School teacher receives science award

ITHACA, NY (CortacaToday) — An Ithaca High School biology teacher is the recipient of an annual award.

Associate Principal Hilary Ewing says LJ Lansdowne uses real-world cultural contexts in her curriculum.

Lansdowne calls project-based learning the future of education.

Lansdowne, who teaches 9th grade, was presented with the 2024 Raymond and Joan Loehr Innovative Science Teaching Award. Ewing presented Lansdowne with the award at the Sept. 24 Ithaca City School District Board of Education meeting.
