Ithaca College ranks among best U.S. film schools

ITHACA, NY (CortacaToday) – IC has been named among the nation’s best film schools.

The Hollywood Reporter (THR) ranks Ithaca College at #15 overall for off-campus opportunities like the Special Opportunities for Students program, which provides funding for trips to various film festivals, and on-campus equipment. THR calls attention to real-time workforce training, noting a recently completed immersive stage for 3D visual effects that uses Unreal Engine, which is commonly used by many Hollywood productions.

Ithaca College, which counts Disney CEO Bob Iger among its most successful alumni, is one of seven New York schools on the list, trailing only Columbia and NYU at #7, and #3, respectively. Syracuse University and the Rochester Institue of Technology also appear on the list at #21 and #25.
