ITA seeks more money for ICSD from Cornell

ITHACA, NY (CortacaToday) — A union wants to see Cornell open up their wallets.

The Ithaca Teachers Association held a rally last evening on the Commons, with the Ithaca Voice noting about 80 people showed up. Under an agreement through 2031, Cornell gives the Ithaca City School District 650 thousand dollars a year. The Ivy League school also voluntarily contributes four million dollars to the city of Ithaca.

Union officials say Cornell’s contribution to the school district should equal their contribution to the city.
