ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) — The Ithaca Police Department is investigating an alleged threat in Tompkins County.
Police say threats were made Wednesday at the Department of Social Services building in downtown Ithaca, which was temporarily closed out of safety concerns.
“Statements were made that raised concerns for the safety of employees and members of the public,
prompting the agency to temporarily close while the incident was investigated,” police stated.
Officers tracked down Richard Madorsky in Schuyler County. Madorsky was charged with making a terroristic threat, which is a felony. Tompkins County’s DSS office will be open today.
