Incoming Cornell men’s hockey player selected in NHL Draft

BUFFALO, NY (607NewsNow) — A new face for Cornell men’s hockey is an NHL draftee.

Incoming freshman defenseman Cole Tuminaro was selected by the Colorado Avalanche on Saturday. The Illinois native was drafted in the fifth round.

This past season, Tuminaro played for the Chicago Steel of the United States Hockey League. He tallied 16 points in 54 regular-season games.

The NHL Draft was held Friday and Saturday in Buffalo.
