ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) — The extreme heat we’re feeling across the Southern Tier can make you sick.

Tompkins County Medical Director Dr. William Klepack says there are the possibilities of coming down with heat stroke, heat exhaustion, or heat cramps.

It can happen inside or outside.

An extreme heat warning remains in effect across the Ithaca area until Friday, July 3 at 8 p.m.
