TRUMANSBURG, NY (607NewsNow) – A road safety initiative in Trumansburg has been delayed.

Village officials say the road-calming experiment on Halsey Street this Fall had technical challenges, and the speed reduction project has been pushed to Spring 2026.

In the meantime, crews are going to install additional pedestrian warning signage on Halsey Street to improve safety until the striping work can be done.

Trumansburg Mayor Rordan Hart spoke to 607 News Now about the experiment in September. You can hear that conversation here.
