GoFundMe established for late Tioga County investigator

SPENCER, NY (607NewsNow) – The local law enforcement community is mourning a loss.

On March 4, Tioga County Sheriff’s Deputy Ryan Bunce passed away unexpectedly.

The 32-year-old Spencer man leaves behind a wife and two kids. He is the son of recently retired Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office Corrections Administrator Ray Bunce. A GoFundMe page has been set up to support the family. In less than a week, nearly $100,000 has been raised.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, March 10, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of West Danby, located at 2219 W Danby Road in Spencer.
