ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) – An Ithaca business is preparing for a soft opening.

Found Antiques calls it a week-long “holiday preview” at their new location in the former Emerson Power building, now Southworks.

Beginning Friday, December 19, the shop will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. through December 28, although it will close at 3 p.m. on Christmas Eve and shut down all day on Christmas.

Store officials say the store is currently “undressed” and “rather raw,” but wanted to invite customers inside to see the merchandise and new space. The full buildout will likely take months to complete.

Found is set to reopen sometime in January 2026, with an exact date yet to be determined. The group has been working on the new space since leaving its Cherry Street location at the end of October after over 15 years on Ithaca’s West End.

That site was renovated and repurposed as Tompkins County’s Code Blue homeless shelter.
