CORRECTION 9/25: A previous version of this story reported that Flock Safety reps would attend the upcoming Tompkins County Public Safety Committee Meeting; however, county officials say Flock has been invited to the October 7 meeting of the Tompkins County Legislature.

ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) – A security company will respond to public concerns in Tompkins County.

Some residents are worried about their privacy and who may have access to information collected by Flock Safety cameras installed throughout the community.

On September 16, Legislator Shawna Black withdrew a resolution to accept grant funding for the Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office to give the public and other lawmakers a chance to speak with Flock directly in the near future.

Representatives from Flock have been invited to attend the Tompkins County Legislature Meeting on Tuesday, October 7.
