OWEGO, NY (607NewsNow) – Patient care in Owego is getting a boost.

On February 12, Jeff and Paula Gural and the Tioga Downs Regional Community Foundation donated $50,000 to Guthrie’s Route 38 clinic.

Guthrie officials say the money will help acquire a new 3D Mammography unit. According to health professionals, the technology offers clearer, more accurate images, which strengthen early detection.
