Cortlandville considers extending temporary ban on solar energy systems

CORTLANDVILLE, NY (607NewsNow) — A moratorium in Cortlandville might continue.

The Cortlandville Town Board is considering extending a temporary ban on approving new solar energy permits. The moratorium, which began in October, expires April 9.

If the temporary ban is extended, it would remain in effect through early June. Residents can share their thoughts tonight at Cortlandville Town Hall; a public hearing starts at 5:30 p.m.
