CORTLAND, NY (607NewsNow) — The Cortland Police Commission has a busy afternoon ahead.

The group gathers today at 3:30 p.m. to focus on several topics, including the downtown camera system and proposed bicycle legislation.

On Aug. 19, the Cortland Common Council tabled a resolution that would ban gas-assisted bikes on public streets and sidewalks. The proposed legislation would also require anyone under 17 to wear a helmet while on a bike or electric scooter.

Today’s meeting takes place at the Cortland Youth Bureau.
