ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) – Tuition is going up at Cornell.

The Board of Trustees approved the increase last week, which also includes bumps for housing and dining rates in the 2026-2027 academic year.

Undergraduate tuition for in- and out-of-state residents is rising 3.76%. That amounts to $73,946 for out-of-state students attending any of Cornell’s colleges and in-state residents attending the endowed colleges.

For in-state students attending Cornell’s state contract colleges, tuition will be $49,816. According to the Cornell Chronicle, the tuition increase will only apply to students who do not receive financial aid. Cornell grant money will offset the attendance increase for aid recipients. The University says nearly 50% of all undergraduate students receive Cornell financial aid grants.

The housing and dining costs for an average undergraduate will be $21,348.

Tuition for master’s, doctoral, and professional degrees will see increases between 0% and 4.5%.
