BINGHAMTON, NY (607NewsNow) – A political group is asking for action in the Southern Tier.

The Binghamton City Democratic Committee is calling for an investigation into an alleged threat made to State Senator Lea Webb on a social media post about Juneteenth.

A male resident of the Binghamton area is accused of responding, ā€œI’d be proud to hang her from a tree.ā€

The Binghamton City Democratic Committee, which is sanctioned under the Broome County Democratic Party, says the comment warrants a full threat assessment by law enforcement.
