URBANA, NY (607NewsNow) — A 3-year-old child in Steuben County is back now with family.

Sheriff Jim Allard says the boy left their home around 11:15 a.m. Tuesday in the town of Urbana and was possibly following a puppy. Several hours later, the child and puppy were both found in the town of Bath by former Savona village mayor Tom Drake, and the boy was returned to his parents.

The Steuben County Sheriff’s Office worked with several local law enforcement agencies to find the child, including the Corning, Bath, and Hammondsport police departments.
