2 Steuben County jail inmates had meth, sheriff says

CORNING, NY (607NewsNow) — Two men at the Steuben County jail face new charges. 

Sheriff Jim Allard says deputies found meth Tuesday in the possession of 43-year-old Thomas Whitehead, of Corning, and 33-year-old Thomas Robbins, of Addison. The two men were charged with possessing dangerous prison contraband, which is a felony, and criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Allard says an investigation into how the drugs made it behind bars is still taking place.
