Tompkins County working on solution to budget hole

ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — A shift in Medicaid funding in Albany means counties across New York have a big hole to fill in their 2024 budget.

Tompkins County Administrator Lisa Holmes tells WHCU they are working on plugging a one-point-six-million-dollar gap.

Last week, Holmes presented her recommended budget of 245-million-dollars. A vote is likely in October.
