CORTLANDVILLE, N.Y. (WHCU) – The Cortland County Sheriff’s Office has a new Undersheriff.
Sheriff Mark Helms has appointed Chad Burhans to the position. The 2002 Homer High School grad and United States Marine joined the county sheriff’s office in 2007, working his way up through the ranks before being promoted to Road Patrol Captain in 2021.
