ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) – The Tompkins County Office for the Aging is preparing for the winter.

The organization is looking for people willing to do snow shoveling and plowing for older adults in the community who cannot clear their driveways or sidewalks without assistance. Work is available on either a paid or volunteer basis. The office is currently updating its list and is in “real need of more workers.”

They’re especially in need of people willing to work outside of the City of Ithaca and across rural areas in the county.  Anyone interested, including people who were on the list last year, should call The Tompkins County Office for the Aging at (607)-274-5482.
