ELMIRA, N.Y. (WHCU) – Two people from Ithaca allegedly involved in injuring a police officer have appeared in court.

Dominick Haley and Fatinuna Massaline, both 24, were indicted Monday on felony charges of assaulting a police officer and assault with a weapon. The pair were arrested in late March after they were stopped at a Target in Big Flats for alleged shoplifting. A pursuit resulted in Chemung County Investigator Mike Theetge being thrown from the hood of a moving car and fracturing his skull. Theetge has since moved from intensive care to a rehab facility in Rochester.
