ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — A Binghamton man is working on opening a marijuana dispensary in downtown Ithaca.

William Durham was granted a license by the state Office of Cannabis Management, one of three announced for the Southern Tier. Durham says it’s been a lengthy process that began some six months ago.

Durham adds the business, which will be called William Jane, will also be a learning opportunity.

The dispensary will open at the former Trader K’s spot on the Commons.
