Flood warning issued in Tioga County through Wednesday

OWEGO, N.Y. (WHCU) — Tioga County is under a flood warning. 

The National Weather Service reports the Susquehanna River is currently at a flood stage of 16-point-nine feet and will likely rise above the flood stage over the next few hours. The warning will be in effect until eight o’clock Wednesday morning.

Similar warnings were in place across the Southern Tier over the weekend as heavy rain fell through Sunday evening.
