FEMA hosting flood map open houses Wednesday, Thursday in Ithaca

ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — The first of two open houses hosted by FEMA takes place in Ithaca today.

After releasing new flood maps for the first time since the early 1980s, homeowners in Tompkins County with questions about flood risk and insurance can get information from a FEMA official at the Ithaca High School cafeteria today from 4:30 to 8:30.

The second information session is scheduled for tomorrow at the Tompkins County Whole Health Department building on Brown Road in Ithaca.
