ITHACA, NY (WHCU) – Following positive feedback from Enfield and Groton, the Community Justice Center (CJC) has opened three new community hubs in Tompkins County.

The new resource hubs are now open in the City of Ithaca, Lansing, and Slaterville. In addition to free internet access, hub staff provides assistance with securing transportation, filling out paperwork, and telehealth appointments.

“Because we’ve had success meeting people where they are with the first two hubs in Groton and Enfield, I’m very excited to add three new hub locations,” said CJC Director Monalita Smiley. “Residents on West Hill, and in the Slaterville Springs/Caroline, and Lansing areas are invited to take advantage of these new hubs. The goal is to make sure people have access to information in their own communities. We offer safe spaces for people to access the internet, get help with a form to access services, or just navigate the complexities of resources in our community.”

New Hubs

  • Lansing Library, 27 Auburn Road, Lansing – Open Noon to 2 p.m. the second and fourth Mondays of each month
  • Ithaca West Hill Neighborhood, 150 West Village Place Room 328, Ithaca – Open 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. on Tuesdays
  • Slaterville Fire Hall, 2681 Slaterville Road, Slaterville Springs – Open 9 to 11 a.m. on Wednesdays

Existing Hubs

  • Enfield Community Center, 162 Enfield Main Road, Ithaca – Open Noon to 2 p.m. on the first and third Wednesdays of each month
