ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) – Cayuga Medical announces the opening of an orthopedics center in Cortland.

Cayuga Orthopedics Immediate Care offers onsite walk-in appointments. Patients can get treated for upper and lower body extremity issues related to injuries, arthritis and tendonitis.

Cayuga Med President Dr. Marty Stallone says some orthopedic injuries need immediate attention, and many people are putting off trips to the emergency room because of the pandemic.

Stallone says the new immediate care center hopes to solve that problem.
