Accident causes shutdown on Route 13 in Dryden

DRYDEN — Route 13 in Dryden was shut down for a time this afternoon after a two-car accident.

The crash happened at the intersection of 13 and Lower Creek Road around 2:30 p.m. Two vehicles were sighted at the scene, one a sedan with front end damage and another a minivan with tire damage that had driven down an embankment on the side of the road. There’s no word on any injuries.

Route 13 was shut down for about a half an hour as members of the Varna Fire Department and Tompkins County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the accident. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
