Happy Memorial Day Weekend!

As you enjoy the long weekend, take a moment to remember those who gave their lives to serve our country…and those who continue to protect us every day.

There are several ways to commemorate Memorial Day this weekend:

Dryden

Lion Legacy is hosting “A Walk To Remember” Saturday 5/26 at Dryden High School from 6-8pm. Their Memorial Day Parade starts Monday at 10:30am on Main Street.

Geneva

The Memorial Day Parade begins at 10am Monday on Main Street.

Groton

The Groton American Legion Post 900 begins their Memorial Day remembrance at  Graves Memorial at 9am Monday and continues through the morning.

Ithaca

The annual Ithaca City Cemetery Memorial Day Cleanup is at 9am Monday followed by the Tompkins County Memorial Day Ceremony at Dewitt Park at 11am.

Newfield

Their Memorial Day Celebration begins at 930am in the Newfield High School auditorium with the parade starting at 11am.

Trumansburg

Their Memorial Day parade starts at 10am at the Trumansburg Farmers Market.

Christine Baranski agreed to narrate a music-and-spoken word version of Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol" last December at The Morgan Library & Museum in New York, which owns the original manuscript of the 1843 classic. A recording was made last June at the Church of the Redeemer in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts, and released Dec. 4 on the LSO Live label.
